Synopsis

The prefix “nano” is a Greek word “nanos” which signifying “dwarf” (one billionth of meter 10-9m) ,is becoming extensively common in scientific literature. Now a days “Nano” is a popular label mostly used for modern science and also appeared in dictionaries, for example nanoscience, nanowire, nanotube, nanotechnology, nanostructure, nanoscale, nanometer, nanorobot, etc. The idea of nanotechnology: producing nanoscale objects and carrying out nanoscale manipulations, has been around for quite some time, the birth of the concept is usually linked to a speech by Richard Feynman at the December 1959 meeting of the American Physical Society where he asked, “What would happen if we could arrange the atoms one by one the way we want them?”
