Wind Turbine and Photvoltaic (Hybrid Power Generation system Modeling and Simulation. A MATLAB computer programs is developed to solve the mathematical model for small scale horizontal axis wind turbine and PV system. The solar radiation including extraterrestrial, diffused, beam and global radiation are calculated and compared with actual data measured by metrological station. Effect of the collector tilt angle on the solar radiations was also conducted. The experimental work was conducted in Cranfield University (ePAD laboratory) at United Kingdom in order to test and simulate a small scale wind turbine based on permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). It was based on 1.4 m of rotor radius, rated power of 500 W. A PV panel used has 36 monocrystalline silicon cells connected together in series having the ability to generate 50 W of rated power.

Wind/PV hybrid power generation system is an effective option to solve the power supply problem in remote and isolated areas far from utility grid.This work is devoted to present a modeling, analysis and simulation of a small scale stand-alone wind/PV hybrid power generation system.
