9783330049710: Introduction To Computational Physics Using Matlab

Synopsis

This book can serve as a practical introduction to computational physics using the popular MATLAB language. The essential methods of numerical analysis, including numerical integration, numerical solution of differential equations, method of least squares for fitting the experimental data, and Monte Carlo simulation technique, are given in easily understandable way with the algorithms and corresponding codes written in MATLAB language. Practical problems from Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Data Analysis are given and solved numerically while presenting each method. The book can be very useful for the students majoring in Physics, Mathematics and related disciplines for understanding and implementing the methods of numerical analysis via writing codes in MATLAB language for solution of practical science problems, including analysis of experimental data collected during the measurements.
