In disasters, there are dangerous places, and sending rescue team to such places to look for survivals will put the rescuers lives in danger. The same thing could happen in war zones; indeed, sending a robot for exploring is safer than sending squad of solders. A robot for rescue missions and military operations was designed and implemented. The robot equipped with a novel computer vision algorithm developed by us. The system showed promising results in detecting people even better than some implemented algorithms in 2012. After combining the detection algorithm with the robot; the result is a powerful robot with people detection ability to be used in disasters or war zones.
