Synopsis

The book contains three different works in the field of economic development. Firstly, it starts by summarizing the history of sustainability and sustainable development. Afterwards, 17 global goals and 169 associated targets of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are reviewed. Similarities and differences between SDGs and Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are pointed out. In the second research, the relation between Human Development Index and e-commerce index, which is created from World Bank Development Indicators is tried to be shown. Lastly, the Washington Consensus and the post-Washington Consensus are studied and explained because of their role before MDGs and SDGs.
