Synopsis

This study was carried out to investigate the relationship and interaction between water quality and welfare of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) in Ranya Lakelet. The experiment was conducted in the research laboratory of Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science at University of Raparin, Sulaimani, Kurdistan Region - Iraq. The sampling of fish been divided in to four groups. Heavy metals contents analysed in water, sediment and fish organs, including Cadmium (Cd), Zinc (Zn), Nickel (Ni), Chromium (Cr), Copper (Cu) and Lead (Pb). In common carp body, heavy metals measured in the skin, gills, intestine, liver and muscle. Condition factor, Gonadosomatic index (GSI) and Hepatosomatic index (HSI), BioConcentration factor (BCF) and Bio- Sedimentation Factor (BSF) were studied.

Shamal Rasul Hama: birth at 1988 in Raniya. Bsc. Agriculture Sciencce 2013. Msc. Agriculture Sciencce (Animal Resource) 2015. Assistant lecturer in Animal Resource department, College of Education, University of Raparin. Live in Raniya District, Sulaimani governorate, Kurdistan of Iraq.
