Synopsis

This book is a practical guidebook studying workplace procedures of professional translators with specific reference to Brian Mossop's model.At first, the importance of translation, translation studies, and product and process in translation are offered, in the following, the importance of translation process research,translation sociology, and the challenges of translation process research at the workplace are discussed. In fact, in this book the status and role of a translator is considered not the translation itself. The present book studies the workplace procedures of each translator under uncontrolled condition and reviews how a translator starts and finishes translation. This is an applicable work for translator trainees, translator training programs, and for instructors to see each procedure performed by each translator during the process of translation and choose the best one according to quality parameter.

Narges Tahanian is an MA holder in translation studies from Azad University Central Tehran Branch.Her research interests are in translation studies & teaching.Kourosh Akef Khalkhali is the assistant professor of TEFL in Azad University Central Tehran Branch,his research interest is in issues in Language Teaching,translation studies and linguistics
