Of these different groups, marginalized farmers who hold agricultural land ≤ 1 hectare (≤ 2.5 acres) contribute significantly. Furthermore, owing to poor socio-economic conditions, illiteracy, lack of technological know-how, financial constraint, an inadequate institutional mechanism to cope with climate change makes this group of farmers is vulnerable to climate change.
