Synopsis

This is a book about Antichrist and the end of the world. It is the result of 35 years of research on the subject. It is an excellent reference to the scriptural passages that deal with this subject, along with the sayings of the Church Fathers who chose to comment on those passages. Read about such topics as the Abomination of Desolation, the Great Tribulation, the Woman Clothed with the Sun, the Great Whore, the Beast, the Dragon, and the false prophet, from an Orthodox prospective. Learn about the seven seals, the seven trumpets and the seven bowls. You will be surprised to discover that Armageddon is not synonymous with the end of the world. The Orthodox dogma is defended against alien doctrines that have invaded Orthodox thought, such as the Millennial Rule of Christ, the pre-tribulation rapture and the doctrine of eternal security. In a time when the airwaves and cyberspace are filled with all sorts of confusing ideas and opinions, a reference work like this is indispensable for anyone who teaches or prepares sermons on the subject of eschatology, or for anyone who is concerned about survival during the last days.
