The present study was conducted to detect the genotypes and prevalence of the HCV infection among the asymptomatic populations from five Iraqi governorates (Najaf, Babylon, Qadisyia, Karbala and Baghdad governorates), as the asymptomatic patients globally represent about 80% from total HCV patients. Following techniques were implemented: ELISA-III, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR and biochemical measurements of ALT and AST enzymes' levels.
