Synopsis

Master's Thesis from the year 2005 in the subject Nursing Science - Miscellaneous, grade: 87, course: M.Sc. Nursing, language: English, abstract: The objectives of this study are to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of clients with peptic ulcer, to evaluate the effectiveness of the structured teaching programme on these clients and to associate demographic variables with the knowledge, attitude and practice of them. The research design used in this study was quasi-experimental in nature. The main study was conducted from July 2005 to August 2005. The sample of 100 clients with peptic ulcer who met the inclusion criteria were selected by using convenient sampling techniques. Demographic variables of clients with Peptic Ulcer were collected and they assessed their knowledge, attitude and practice by an interview schedule. Then the structured teaching programme was conducted and educational intervention module was distributed to the clients. After one week, a post-test was conducted. The study subjects were randomly selected.
