Synopsis
Den antiken semitischen Gottheiten Anat, Astarte, Qedeschet und Ascherah waren gerade in der jungsten Forschungsgeschichte von groaem Interesse. Diese Studie leistet nun einen Beitrag zur Erforschung der Ikonographie dieser Gottheiten im Zeitraum von 15001000 vor Christus. Dabei stellt Cornelius nicht nur die verschiedenen ikonographischen Darstellungen detailliert vor und erklart sie in ihren Eigenheiten, sondern er versucht auch, die Beziehungen der Gottheiten untereinander zu klaren und sie zu identifizieren.
