Jonathan Edwards, more than any other pre-revolutionary colonial thinker, grappled with the promises and perils of the Enlightenment. Organized by John T. Lowe and Daniel N. Gullotta, Jonathan Edwards within the Enlightenment brings together a group of young and early career scholars to present their propping the life, times, and theology of one of America s greatest minds. Many of these subjects have been seldom explored by scholars while others offer new and exciting avenues into well covered territory. John T. Lowe is a Ph.D. Candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He holds a B.A. from the University of Louisville, and a M.Div. and Th.M. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Daniel N. Gullotta is a Ph.D. Candidate at Stanford University in American Religious History. He received his M.A.R. in the History of Christianity at Yale University Divinity School.

Dr. Kenneth P. Minkema is the Executive Editor of The Works of Jonathan Edwards and of the Jonathan Edwards Center & Online Archive at Yale University, with appointments as Research Faculty at Yale Divinity School and as Research Associate at the University of the Free State, South Africa.

Dr. Adriaan C. Neele is Research Scholar at the Yale University, Jonathan Edwards Center and Professor of Historical Theology, Director of the Doctoral Program at the Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary.
