Eric van Steen is the South African Research Chair in Reaction Engineering at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He has spent most of his career in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. He is a Fellow of the South African Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the South African Institute of Chemical Engineering, and a Fellow of the University of Cape Town.
