Synopsis
This exercise book is directed at students, doctors and radiologists wishing to become familiar with the interpretation of computed tomograms of the abdomen. The selected computed tomograms are so typical that they can be evaluated without any clinical or laboratory knowledge. The reader is led step-by-step to a systematic interpretation of these tomographic images. The careful and detailed depiction of the normal, i.e. healthy organ section in the first step allows later on the analysis and diagnosis of pathological changes, classified according to organs for a clearer presentation. The analysis of the computed tomograms is carried out using eight planes of section.
