Synopsis

This volume is divided into seven chapters, which are formed under the format of modelling, computational foundations and mathematical theory. The modelling chapters provide an elementary discussion of the drift-discussion system for semiconductors, and introduce an hierarchy of moment models, based upon the Botlzmann transport equation. The final four chapters deal exclusively with the drift-diffusion model.
