The present collective monograph contains the newest results of research in modern linguistics, translatology, literature studies, culture and history conducted by the leading scientists. Different aspects of studies of language facts in diachrony and synchrony. Special attention is given to the topical problems of the problems of literary borrowings, there were described specific features of a historical drama, lingual peculiarities of the Carpatho-Russians’ periodicals. There were characterized the Serbian historical phraseology, the written norms of the bookish Bulgarian, the problems of Slavic anthroponymy, language and culture text-in-text analyses, the problems of Russian-Polish lexicography, interference, functional bilingual culture in literature, paronymy, lingual and cultural aspects of the subject category, multi-paradigmal approach in translator’s text analyses, the Russian translations of speeches of Pope, the Slavic vector of the culturological and educational initiative group named after St. Ludmila, the problems of cross-cultural competence of the Slavic speakers, etc.

Svitlana I. Terekhova is Doctor of Sciences (linguistics), Professor, Professor of the Department of Oriental and Slavic Languages, the Department of Germanic and Roman Languages in Kyiv National Linguistic University (Ukraine). Author of more than 250 works in contrastive linguistics, translatology, editology, English, Russian, Ukrainian.
Katarina Begovic is assistant professor at the Department of Serbian with South Slavonic Languages at Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, specializing in Serbian Language History, i.e., in Historical Lexical and Phraseological Semantics, Diachronic Lexicology, Phraseology of Slavic languages.
Olga Saprikina is Philology Doctor, associated professor. She lives and works in Moskov, RF. Her research interests are in the sphere of history, in particular, the history of the Slavic languages, literatures, cultures.
Snežana Popović graduated from the group of Czech language and literature at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade. She completed her doctoral studies in Prague, at Faculty of Arts of the Charles University, PhD program of Slavic philologies. She works as an assistant professor at Department of Slavic studies.
