Ubiquitous computing is the concept of embedding many heterogeneous devices within our everyday environment in such a way that they operate seamlessly and become transparent to the person using them. This book explores the consumption of multimedia resources in the ubiquitous computing environment. First, the book focuses on the delivery and adapation of multimedia resources in an end-to-end system and its session transfer. Next, the book considers the foregoing work on the customization of multimedia resources in a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) network.

Dr. Letian Rong holds a BEng (Hons) in Computer Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia (2002), and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Wollongong, Australia (2007). He is currently working as a R&D engineer at the Orange Labs, France Telecom in Paris, investigating LTE and LTE-A systems.
