Synopsis
Building a biological profile is often the critical step in the identification of recovered human remains. Stature, sex, race and age if known, can assist by significantly limiting the field of potential identities to be searched. It is often the Odontologist who is requested to provide the estimate of age. This book is a concise introduction to forensic odontology and the principles of identification. It provides a critical review of the available literature and documents the development of a population specific age estimation technique. À propos de l?auteur
Dr Matt Blenkin, BDSc, Grad Dip MDS, MSc (Dent): studied Forensic Odontology at the University of Sydney. A Board registered Forensic Odontologist and member of the Surgeon General?s Consultative Group on Forensic Science, he has deployed both nationally and internationally in his capacity as a forensic specialist for the Australian Defence Force.
