Typical intelligent mechatronic systems gather data and information from their technical environment using mullti-sensor systems.The data is then processed and interpreted finally leading to actions carried out by actuators.All these systems have reached a level of complexity that can only be mastered by an integrated system design strategy,using the combined knowledge from mechanics,electronics and software.The first step in the focused development is to carefully analyse the customer,s needs and the technical environment in which the future system is supposed to be integrated .The next step is to use elaborate ways of modeling and description methods to cover all subtasks of this system in an integrative matter Here the author,s approach for study of Intelligent mechatronicsystems is presented both together with main aspects of hybrid tasks modeling, virtual simulation,and 3D CAD design .The goal is to suggest a methodology,methods and respective tools for systematic investigation and advanced design of IMS.This book contains 250 pages and can be implemented as a monography for researchers,Ph.D students working in the field of Mechatronics.

Krassimir Georgiev received Ph.D degree and D.Sc. degree in Mechatronics from Technical University of Sofia ,Bulgaria . Since 1996 he was Associate Professor and since 2007 he is Professor in Institute of Mechanics at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He has published more than 115 papers in international journals and conferences.
