Food safety presents a serious global public health concern. In Malawi, the field of fish quality and processing which covers aspects of value adding is relatively new. Institutions of higher learning which have a great mandate of capacity building (training) need to be well equipped for the same. The Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Science at Bunda College trains students at undergraduate and graduate levels including PhDs. Biographie de l'auteur

The author is a lecturer in Fish Quality Management in the Department of Aquaculture & Fisheries Science at Bunda College of Agriculture (University of Malawi). He holds an MSc Degree in Aquaculture & Fisheries Science from the University of Malawi and is currently pursuing a PhD in Fisheries Science with the same university.
