Synopsis

Huge amount of digital visual data are shared on different media and exchanged over various sorts of networks nowadays. Often, these visual data contain confidential information. As a consequence, techniques are required to provide security functionalities like privacy, integrity, or authentication especially suited for the data type. A relatively new field, denoted? Image Encryption?, is aiming towards this emerging technologies and applications.In order to fulfill the requirements, many encryption techniques have been proposed and analyzed as possible solution, but they do not satisfy the requirements of the modern cryptographic mechanism due to their proneness to various attacks. The algorithm developed is having less memory usage requirement,smaller key size,faster implementaion,larger keysapce. It is also having low computational complexity. Moreover, algorithm is very sensitive to key and can resist statistical and brute force attacks. Thus the proposed scheme is suitable for the digital image encryption.The Algorithm is usefull to the students and researchers who are working in the field of Cryptography.
