Indigenous knowledge is the local knowledge that is unique to a given culture or society. In view of this, the book enlightens the current collected information from Dire Dawa Administration (Eastern Ethiopia) on key pest animals and indigenous knowledge and techniques used for these pests' management. Particularly, in the book the socioeconomic background of local community, the type of key pest animals and products damaged by them and indigenous knowledge and techniques used for these pests management were presented in detail.

Biographie de l'auteur

Mr. Mohammed Kasso completed his undergraduate study (BSC) in Biology in 2003 and postgraduate study (MSC) in Ecological and Systematic Zoology in 2008 at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He published different research articles and member of peer reviewer for African Journal of Ecology. Currently he is working as lecturer in Dire Dawa University.
