The basic feature of ‘Modern Agriculture' is agricultural mechanization. In the 20th century there was vast expansion of cultivated area through the use of tractors and other motorized implements. It was quite appropriate when a large in share of rural population was becoming urbanized with ample job opportunities in Industry and then services.The present study entitled ‘IMPACT OF FARM MECHANIZATION : A CASE STUDY OF ANTHIKAD PANCHAYAT IN THRISSUR DISTRICT , KERALA analyzed the impact of mechanization on Paddy cultivation.
