Synopsis
La participation des Roscas est répandue dans les pays en développement. Cela malgré le fait que la participation est coûteuse en termes de temps d'opportunité et de temps passé à assister aux réunions et qu'il existe un risque de perte par défaut. Cette étude a examiné les caractéristiques des participants, les motifs de la participation des Roscas et la façon dont les décisions d'allocation sont prises et le moment préféré pour recevoir le pot. Les données ont été générées à partir d'un bidonville kenyan. Il fournit des leçons importantes pour ceux qui souhaitent exploiter le potentiel des participants Rosca dans le développement de produits de microfinance.
