Synopsis
L'un des défis centraux de l'éducation est d'inculquer aux éducateurs un sens de responsabilité sociale envers leurs communautés. La recherche examine la contribution de l'apprentissage du service communautaire à l'amélioration de la responsabilité des élèves enseignants et de leur implication sociale ainsi qu'à la formation des enseignants. Les défis et les opportunités des communautés d'apprentissage axées sur l'analyse des problèmes sociaux et des répercussions éducatives sur le terrain sont présentés dans cette étude. L'hypothèse était que la participation à la communauté d'apprentissage mettrait davantage en œuvre l'implication sociale communautaire des élèves enseignants tout en renforçant la responsabilité dans leur champ d'action. Les résultats ont mis en évidence qu'il y avait des opportunités positives pour les communautés d'apprentissage d'un aspect personnel tel que le développement de l'auto-apprentissage et l'apprentissage du « moi », ainsi que d'élargir leurs compétences pédagogiques, grâce à une méthodologie de formation des enseignants et à développer une pensée réflexive. Ces connaissances peuvent également être mises en œuvre dans les cadres éducatifs des adultes et pendant l'apprentissage par le service dans le cadre de la formation des enseignants.
