I have a particular interest in community health, and helping immigrants to find lasting roots in the community. In this book, I discussed the challenges facing the Asian American immigrants and their needs. Medicine deals with despair, loss, and suffering, it is also a great source for limbic memories of exaltation, comfort and peaceful joy. This book belongs to a series of books and papers I call the “best of us”. I hope to find the best in treatment, in places, in our spirits and memories that will bind us and will help to prevent and remove some of the pain and suffering associated with unnecessary death, and sickness.

Biographie de l'auteur

Rex Cheung M.D., Ph.D. has published a number of books and papers on advanced radiation oncology techniques, combined modality treatment, radiation related normal tissue toxicities, public health, epidemiology and pollution oncology. He is on several related editorial boards. He has a particular interest in community health.
