For Dhaka City, Dhaka Metropolitan Development Plan (DMDP) play an imperative role in land development practice which recognizes new land development, on a scale and a rate that will ease pressure on the existing urban area, requires the adaptation of fundamental policy changes and the adaptation of new approaches, techniques and mechanisms in public and private sector land development initiatives. DMDP also consider socio-economic sector to make the policies more viable.
