M.H.Y. Jowzi (also known as Mehrab Jowzi) was born in 1988, and grew up in Rasht, north part of Iran. He earned his B.A. in translation studies from Rasht Azad University and his M.A. in translation studies from Tehran Azad University. He also works as a freelance photographer and has participated in several exhibitions.
