Medicinal plants are globally important natural plant resource, as they contribute towards quality health care and play a vital role for the development of new drugs. Paris polyphylla is one of those threatened medicinal plant found in temperate to subalpine region of Nepal Himalaya with high medicinal use and very potent bioactive compound for drug formulation. It's indepth research, sustainable utilization, proper conservation and management and mass cultivation is lacking today. Madhu K.C., M.Sc. Botany: Studied Plant Ecology in Tribhuvan University. Worked as Botany teacher for higher secondary school. Researcher at Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Khumaltar, Nepal.
