We present our gratitude to ALLAH Almighty. And thanks to our parents, without their prayers it would be impossible for us to complete this difficult task. We are very thankful to Mr. Abdul Waheed our project supervisor for his technical and moral support. We like to thank Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed and Muhammad Umer Iqbal Bhatti for their interest in our work.This project is designed and implemented for position control of satellite solar panels for maximum conversion efficiency, by keeping solar panels directed toward Sun to obtain maximum solar flux. Project also covers the designing of the power subsystem to fulfill power requirements. Project report will discuss different options and solution that could be used for this purpose. Project has generally two phases which are further divided into sub-phases like designing sensor configuration for Sun orientation determination, motion control system, energy storage system and power regulation. System performance in open loop and close loop is discussed. Hardware is implemented with sensors in close-loop configuration and open-loop control through computer command interface.
