With the emerging broadband and internet technology era, teleworking has been recognised as one of many other alternatives in reducing the increased needs of commuting. Information and communication technologies (ICT), such as mobile phones, PC and internet are opening an opportunity for people to work from home. This book develops a model explaining the spatial distribution of teleworkers across England over the regions considering teleworker’s socio-demographic features, labour force information and regional characteristics. The research objectives focus on two questions; to what extent do patterns of teleworking vary by regions in England and secondly, the research asked the extent of different factors influential for teleworking propensity account for this spatial variation.
