Synopsis
Cloud computing combines the best practices of Virtualization, Grid Computing, Utility computing and Web technologies that inherits the agility of Virtualization,Scalability of Grid computing and simplicity of Web 2.0. The educational institutions are under increasing pressure to deliver more from less due to current resource crunch and the growing demand for quality education. Both public and private educational institutions can use the potential benefit of Ccloud computing to deliver better services even with fewer resources. Deployment of cloud computing in education will not only relieve the educational institutions from the burden of handling the complex IT infrastructure management activities but also lead to huge cost savings. Advances in e-Government oriented technologies and services are taking place with a considerable speed around the world. Recent attention has shifted from traditional e-Government to a new initiative called Government Cloud(G-Cloud). The G-Cloud Program’s core benefits are Cost reduction, Improved & faster delivery of Government services and the sustainability agenda.
