After gringind the turmric slices colour and curcumin content was determined. Heat & Mass transfer ratio , Specific energy consumption and optimization of the process parameter was also carried out. This is a use of novel technology for the world of spices drying.

Souvik Acharyya is presently working as a Development Professional in Action for Social Advancement (ASA).He obtained his B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) from Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal in 2009 and M.E in Agril. Engg. (Processing & Food Engg) from CTAE, Udaipur in 2011. He received merit scholarship for his good results.
