As wind turbines increase in size, numbers, and their operating conditions become more extreme, a number of current and future tribological challenges exist. The supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA) installed at individual wind turbines records turbine specific information. Anoop Verma is currently associated with Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at SUNY, Buffalo. He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from University of Iowa. Dr. Verma has wide research interests in renewable energy, data mining and he has contributed numerous journal papers, magazines to scientific community.
