Synopsis

Temperament has a genetic and biological basis, although environmental factors and maturation modify the ways an individual personality is expressed. This investigation involved to construct a Scale for measuring scientific temperament of farmers in pursuance of the objective. The Result shows that correlation coefficients value r = 0.83, r = 0.78. r = 0.76 and r = 0.81 for scientific attitude, scientific habit, scientific knowledge and scientific method respectively were observed highly significant, stable and dependable for measurement. 20 items related to scientific attitude, 10 items related to scientific habit were found to be significant whereas 30 and 15 statements in scientific knowledge and scientific methods respectively constitute the scale for scientific temperament. Education, Social Participation, Farm Size, Farm power, Farm Implements and Irrigation Potentiality were positively and significantly related to Communication Behavior and Scientific Temperament of farmers at 5 % level of probability. It means that these variables exert their influence on the Communication Behavior and Scientific Temperament of farmers

Biographie de l'auteur

Dr Alok Kumar did three Master Degrees as M.Sc. (Ag.), MBA, MHRM and Obtained Ph. D in Agricultural Extension. He worked as Education Officer & Assistant Professor for more than eight years & involved in Teaching, Research, Extension & Training. He has Forty Publications. He Serves as PI of three Projects namely ANDS, Social Audit and e-Extension.
