Change and how to lead it successfully has become the foremost topic in the minds of library professionals. However, libraries’ track record at change is not very good even as technology and other market place drivers have radically altered the very nature of change itself. Most librarians do not understand transformational change or how to lead it, which is causing virtually all of the change-related problems they are now facing. The seminal argument that is examined in this volume is that change and change management will largely depend on the type of leadership style that librarians adopt because no change can be conceived of without the active involvement of librarians as primary instruments of change. As such, this volume addresses the questions as to whether librarians in India follow Transformational Leadership Style which is crucial for effective and efficient change management.
