Ball Catching Robots is the field which has enjoyed much attention in the last two decades. A variety of new search and research has been completed which tells the use of the robots for making an efficient humanoid. Especially previous research at MIT, DLR institute has examined the importance of this field in the robotics research. Building upon the foundations of the past research, this book presents work which present the development of the ball catching robotic arm assembled with the commercially available parts and which implements mean shift algorithm for its active vision to track ball.
