Synopsis

The existence of wild coffee forest is economically rewarding, socially healthy and environmentally friendly. The significance of wild coffee production initiated the collaborated efforts from different actors, playing a pivotal role in order to sustain the existence function and get benefited from it. The linkages between wild coffee producers and end users build on the actors’ involvement as facilitating agents in wild coffee production and marketing. Currently the largest proportion of wild coffee forest coverage is under managed that is intended to boost up the productivity of wild coffee forest with the increasing collaborated efforts of different institutions in different levels (production and marketing). Such a community based conservation and management of wild coffee forest for the growing international market demand for wild Arabica coffee found to be the great opportunity for future prospects of wild coffee production.

Biographie de l'auteur

I am graduate of B. ed Degree and MA Degree in Geography and Environmental Studies at Haramaya and Addis Ababa university (universities of Ethiopia) respectively. In the course of the completion of MA degree I conducted this scientific research was materialized. Now, I have a number of projects that are on process will be published.
