Synopsis
La théorie du contrôle optimal a été utilisée dans la solution d'une grande variété de problèmes en physique, ingénierie, économie et biologie. Beaucoup des problèmes de conception dans les domaines de la cellule, de la construction navale, de l'électronique et d'autres domaines de l'ingénierie sont essentiellement des problèmes de contrôle. Le type de problème le plus largement étudié dans la théorie mathématique du contrôle est le problème de contrôle « temps optimal ». Le but du contrôle dans ce problème est de transformer tout état initial d'un système dynamique en un état stationnaire souhaité en un minimum de temps.
