The study ' Preventive and therapeutic modalities for control of bovine mastitis' was a step in this direction. The effect of 0.2% glutaraldehyde and Aloe vera teat dip on CMT point score and SCC was evaluated in 200 lactating cows for 90 days. Therapeutic efficacy of Amoxycillin, Sulbactam, vitamin E and selenium was judged on the basis of CMT point score and SCC. Antiinflammatory potential of vitamin E and selenium was adjudged by estimation of ceruloplasmin. Antioxidant potential was adjudged by estimation of catalase and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity.
