Pyridone, a saturated or unsaturated form of pyridine with carbonyl group on second carbon has been considered as a magic moiety (wonder nucleus) which possesses almost all types of biological activities. Pyridones are the derivatives of pyridine which belong to an important group of heterocyclic compounds. The cyanopyridone nucleus represents a versatile scaffold to develop new pharmacologically active compounds. The research work embodied in this book is focused on the importance of cyanopyridones derivatives as analogs in the designing of antioxidant and anticonvulsant drugs.

Biographie de l'auteur

Naresh Kumar Rangra did his B.Pharm from Abhilashi College Of Pharmacy (Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla,Himachal Pradesh) in 2012 and M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences,Kurukshetra University.He is pursuing his Ph.d from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology, Birla Institute of Technology.
