In comparison to other living animal, the man is much more capable to dominant his environment. Man is able to change his environment for his own need. At times, these changes can be harmful for men. More the population is increasing; more the changes are increasing by man. That means, increase in population is continuously influencing on the environment directly. So it is clear that the amount of the land for living in the earth is very low and can not be increase as per man’s need. In relation to increase in population, if the number of house, roads, industries, are increasing, than the amount of land for cultivation and forest will be decreased in the same ratio. In fact, growing population is not fundamental and only reason of environmental crisis – lack of proper planning, uneven distribution of natural resources, poverty are the reasons of those problems. Similarly, Ruhr Bengal’s important forest of Birbhum district is being affected harmfully or has been affected harmfully previously. Now, wild animals and trees of different species are extinction for deforestation. Recently, it is enlightened about present vegetation status of Birbhum district by the help of remote sensing.
