The efficiency of improving the seismic resistance of masonry buildings by means of materials and bands are done in this work. A series of experimental tests are conducted on mechanized bricks units in laboratory to check the properties of bricks and bricks units. After all the tests it is found that, the compressive strength of mechanised brick prism is increased by 47.80% over the manual clay bricks. The modulus of elasticity is increased by 29.13%, over the manual bricks and shear strength of mechanised bricks is also increased. The experimental study has also been made to assess the performance of masonry structure, made with mechanised bricks, under the dynamic condition by creating a model of masonry building with different combination of horizontal band.
