Microstrip est le nom donné à un type de structure de guidage d'onde ouverte qui est maintenant couramment utilisé dans l'électronique actuelle non seulement comme lignes de transmission mais pour les composants de circuit tels que les filtres, coupleurs, résonateurs, etc. Ils présentent des avantages bien connus tels que la petite taille, la légèreté, le profil bas et le faible coût. Ce travail a un champ plus large d'analyse, de conception, de fabrication, de test et de mise en œuvre d'un réseau d'antennes à microbande couplé à l'ouverture avec un motif omnidirectionnel. Une antenne microbande couplée à ouverture utilise un couplage d'ouverture et ne nécessite pas de connexion directe entre le patch et la ligne d'alimentation. Une petite ouverture dans le plan de masse situé sous le patch permet le couplage de la ligne d'alimentation. Les exigences du réseau d'alimentation pour le réseau aux distributions d'amplitude requises ont été prises en compte. En règle générale, ces réseaux d'antennes microbandes sont utilisés pour réduire l'ondulation globale dans le motif de rouleau de l'antenne. L'ensemble de ce projet a été réalisé à LRDE, DRDO, Bangalore.
