Synopsis

One of the goals of today's conservation-restoration of cultural property (heritage) is to collect as much information before the intervention in cultural heritage. Non-invasive methods that do not cause damage to cultural property in any way are used for this purpose. CT is increasingly used as a method of three-dimensional display in conservation - restoration. In addition to "diagnostic" purposes, In this book, CT has been used as a method of observing perfusion fluid through the material (wood) using different methods of conservation. Through measuring the mean value of HU of the same shape and size of the ROI and presentation of the results obtained using a line chart a consolidant perfusion through the material (in this case - wood) can be traced, through support of medical devices, using the "standard" software measurement of ROI in the CT image from the examinated volume. This book can serve radiologists, radiologic technologists and conservators - restorers apply new methods of non - invasive research in the field of conservation and restoration as well as radiologic technology students for application of computed tomography in other areas.
