Synopsis
Le Groupe d'experts intergouvernemental sur l'évolution du climat (GIEC) a suggéré qu'à mesure que la population mondiale augmente, les pénuries alimentaires et d'eau deviendront des problèmes encore plus graves (prédictions 2014 du GIEC sur les effets futurs du changement climatique (CC). La culture toute l'année (YRG) peut fournir aux communautés un moyen de prolonger les saisons de croissance, d'élargir les systèmes agricoles locaux et de fournir de la nourriture toute l'année. Cette étude de cas comprenait une analyse détaillée des réponses des représentants de tous les secteurs du comté rural de Mesa, Colorado, concernant YRG et un plan alimentaire et agricole local en raison du CC. Le cas était limité par le temps (6 mois de collecte de données) qui a fourni une image approfondie des réponses de la communauté.
