Cranial injury is most important cause of mortality world wide as head is the most vulnerable part of the body involved in Road Traffic Accidents. In developing country as India, with increasing mechanization and greater use of high speed two wheeler auto vehicles without any safety precautions, number of cranial injury in two wheeler auto vehicle accidents are increasing day by day. The present study consisted of 1890 consecutive deaths due to two wheeler auto vehicle accidents to determine pattern of cranial injury. Analysis of the cases has been carried out, taking into consideration vehicle involved, age and sex of the person, survival period, circumstances of accidents, date and time of accidents and regional distribution of pattern of external and internal head injury. Details given in this book are very useful for undergraduate and postgraduate students of medicine and for the faculties dealing with autopsies.
