In the monograph the physical mechanism and the effects of ice forming on the lines of power transmission a very dangerous and have enormous economic costs of natural phenomena are examined. Theoretical aspects of a new method of struggle against icing on power lines by connecting to a two- or three-phase power line high-frequency generator are investigated. Propagation of electromagnetic waves along the long line given its dispersion properties and skin-effect are analyzed. By numerical solving of the heat equation are investigated three of process conversion electromagnetic wave into heat: continuous, discrete and continuous pulse-discrete. The device of powerful high-frequency generator is considered and the results of experimental verification of the heating wires by high frequency electromagnetic waves are provided. Level of electromagnetic radiation from a two-wire line is calculated. Advantages of the new method of struggle against icing on power lines with ice melting method are compared. Complex computer programs in MathCAD for the calculation of various processes is regarded.
