Synopsis

Oral cancer is a common type of cancer which is important to be diagnosed at an early stage, because it is difficult to be treated at an advanced stage, having very bad prognosis due to difficulty of local-regional control and poor quality of life after aggressive surgeries in advanced stages. Here we discuss a cheap, easy, and accurate method for early detection using 5% Lugol's Iodine solution as a vital stain which is suitable to examine suspicious lesions, choose site for biopsy, follow up cancer patients.
